The latest step forward in beauty adds pigments into the outer layer of the skin, called the epidermis, is different from tattooing in which color is implanted deep into the dermis of the skin. We use anesthetic ointment, so there is usually minimal discomfort during the procedure. Obviously due to the very nature of the procedure, which involves the use of very fine needles, full medical consultation should be sought from the doctor and an antiviral drug may be used on some occasions. Those who have diabetes or keloid should avoid this treatment. Since facial tattooing is a ‘medical treatment’ which punctures the skin and adds color pigments into the skin, only medical institutions which adhere to the strictest sterilization procedures should be performed for complete safety.

☞ A majority of eye line/eyebrow tattooing in Korea is done by unlicensed people at beauty salons or through home-visits and are dark blue in color. These blue-black pigments react well to Q-Switch Laser and can be removed without scars with just one procedure.

Although similar blue-black in color, body tattooing goes much deeper into the skin than eye line/eyebrow tattooing, so treatment is needed 2-3 times. In case the pigments are implanted extremely deeply, Erbium Laser is used simultaneously for peeling. The frequency and method depends on the tattoo color; red, yellow and green tattoos have to be treated repeatedly with other lasers as well.

Q-Switch Dye Laser resolves the tattoo pigments at an adequate depth. It selectively breaks down tattoo pigments without harming the skin, so no scars are left.
We advise caution in using electronic cautery to burn tattoos or carbon dioxide laser (used to remove moles) to remove tattoos as scars can remain.

1) Brows which have turned white after treatment return to their natural black color within 2 weeks.
2) If there is scabbing as your skin heals, do not remove the crust as it will fall off in a week.
3) You can gently wash your face the day after a procedure, but excessive pressure should not be applied.
4) Since the rim of the eye has thin skin, swelling is possible for the first 2~3 days after eye line procedure. Swelling will disappear within a few days and applying cold packs will help.
5) Tattooing does not disappear immediately upon treatment, but gradually fades away in weeks.

Since we use anesthetic ointment, there is usually minimal discomfort during the procedure and we use topical anesthetics to greatly reduce discomfort for sensitive patients. When the tattoo is dark, there is likely to be some scabbing for a week following the procedure, but when the tattoo is pale, washing your face or wearing make-up is possible from the day of the procedure. If you don’t like the shape of your eyebrow tattooed, the unsatisfactory part alone can be retouched and for dark brows which make you look aggressive, colors can be lightened.
