Hair transplant procedure involves taking hair roots from where you have it and surgically "moving" it to bald spots or where the hair is thinning. Hair can be defined very broadly: from hair on our body to hair on your head. Hair loss can be both hereditary and acquired. Hair does not serve a huge function in modern human life, but hair loss can be devastating for patients and the sure method to resolve the problem is hair transplant.
Male hair loss
Hair loss occurs between the front and sides of the head, resulting in a triangular shape (like the letter M.) In severe cases, there is no hair left on the scalp except on the back and sides of patient¡¯s head. Most people lose hair due to an inherited trait or androgen, a male hormone, but stress and fatigue can also aggravate hair loss.
Female hair loss
Genetics and male hormone play a role in female hair loss. The hair loss in women is more diffuse and there are seldom bald spots and the frontal hairline is also spared in most cases; the crown of the head is where hair begins to thin and density goes down.
Sparse hair in women¡¯s private parts is mostly genetic, but sometimes it is acquired through traffic accidents, giving birth or diseases. It can cause mental anguish to patients who are soon getting married or who have an active social life.

How does the male hormone have an impact in hair loss?

Testosterone converts to dihydrotestosterone with the aid of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which is held in hair follicles in the crown, forehead and sides of your head. Protein synthesis in the follicle is delayed, shortening the growth period of hair follicles. Dihydrotestosterone causes hair follicles to enter prematurely into the resting stage of the hair cycle, making them shrink and as such follicles increase, you gradually become bald.
95 % of hair loss is attributed to genetics. The male hormone¡¯s impact is genetically programmed, too.
>> It takes about 10 days for the transplanted hair to establish in its new location.
The first 3-4 days after transplant are crucial. During this post-op period, carefully follow instructions for the transplanted roots to engraft and do not scratch or bump the transplanted areas.
If the operated site becomes wet or itchy, do not rub, but gently press down on it instead.

>> Slight swelling after transplant
When you¡¯ve had transplant in the frontal hairline, slight swelling may come down to your eyes after 3-4 days which will soon subside.

>> Transplanted hair begins to fall out 2~3 weeks after the operation
The life cycle of hair is approximately 5 years. Hair falls out either when the hair has gone through the full life cycle or when it is affected by the operation during the resting stage. If you look closely, it is only the hair shaft which has fallen out, not the roots. The newly transplanted roots are growing hair (which takes about 4 months) and pushing out the existing hair, so to speak. Therefore, it is best to forget about the procedure for 5-6 months and try to relax while waiting for the new hair to grow.

>> Traces of transplants will soon disappear
Blood stains from transplants subside like injection sites and appear aesthetically natural, without any side effects.
