Areas of the body with cellulite have deposits of dimpled
fat which hinder blood circulation and cannot be eliminated
by a change of diet or exercise alone. Mesotherapy dissolves
excess fat by injecting a small amount of drugs into the cellulite
and helping blood circulation.
Mesotherapy injections involve extremely small needles that
penetrate the body only a very small depth, which is typically
four to six millimeters (much shorter than the usual 12 mm.)
Many of the needle sticks are not even felt.
|
|
|
 |
| 3-4 types of drugs are injected simultaneously.
The type and dosage of drug depends upon many variables, including
gender, age, amount of fat accumulated, hormonal condition,
as well as area to be treated (abdomen, thighs, etc.) Mesotherapy
must be performed by a licensed health care clinician who
is permitted to do injections. Mesotherapy treatments are
typically given once every one or two weeks and do not interfere
with your daily activities. |

|
 |
1) Merits
- Multiple micro injections are economical (once every 1-2
weeks)
- Safe as the shots include tiny amounts of the drug
- Less restricted by time or place compared to other treatments
2) Side effects
- Change in skin color (pigmented patches)
- Pain during injection
- Skin infection
If excessive drug is injected, there may be general side
effects or skin allergy. However, these complications are
due to lack of experience on the part of the surgeon and
are very rare when injections are administered by well-trained
surgeons.

In the modern world, more and more women are
becoming interested in not only their face, but also their
body shape. The advent of miniskirts calls for exposure of
legs and naturally, women wish for beautiful legs. Calf reduction,
which once could only be solved with surgery can now be achieved
simply using Botox.
There are two causes of big calves: when excess fat is the
problem, liposuction may be the answer. If over-developed
muscles are a factor, not the fat, Botox should be the choice.
Botox is injected into the inner side of gastrocnemius, a
muscle located at the outer rear calf, to relax the muscle
and reduce the overall calf size. |
 |
|
|
 |
| Botox works the same way it does on square facial
appearance. Botox injection relaxes gastrocnemius muscles
and as they become unused, they decrease in volume. A larger
quantity of Botox is injected for calf reduction than in facial
wrinkle elimination. |

|
 |
(1) High level of satisfaction
Since calf reduction surgeries involve severing nerves, nerve
branches may remain in some patients and diminish impact.
Botox is directly injected into muscles which guarantee results.
(2) There is no scarring from Botox injections.
(3) Procedure is simple and quick: it only takes 5-10 minutes
for both calves.
(4) You can enjoy your daily activities shortly thereafter.
|
 |
|
|
 |
(1) There may be some temporary bruising in the injected
site which will subside within days.
(2) Your legs may feel stiff or weak after the procedure,
but this is also temporary, so there is no cause for concern.

| Liposat is a procedure that removes unwanted
fat in the body with a state-of-the-art fat suctioning instrument
from Germany. Topical anesthesia is administered which enables
the patient to freely change positions and even stand up during
the fat suctioning procedure. This is particularly useful
when final revisions are made. Liposat uses low-pitched electrical
pumps which lessen patients¡¯ uneasiness. |

Calves
The primary objective of liposuction is to remove excess fat,
but it is important to remember that an appropriate amount
of fat needs to remain to make your body more beautiful. |

|
 |
(1) It is crucial that you discuss the body
contour you want in detail with your surgeon
(2) You should abstain from the following during 2 weeks before
and after surgery:
- alcohol, vigorous exercise, drugs such as diuretic or aspirin
and smoking
(3) Be sure to tell your doctor about medications you are
taking |
 |
|
|
 |
(1) Girdle and compress should be worn to prevent
hematoma, decrease swelling and sculpt new body shape. Compress
girdle should be worn for 4-6 weeks after surgery to help
your skin better fit its new contours.
(2) Although different by surgery area, you can usually resume
daily activities within 3-4 days and after one week, you can
resume all social activities.
(3) You can return to work a week after surgery, but vigorous
exercise should be avoided for 3 weeks following your surgery.
Strenuous activity should be avoided for 2-4 weeks.
(4) The stitches are removed within the first week to 10 days.
(5) Most of the bruising and soreness usually disappears within
a month. It is normal to feel a bit depressed in the days
following surgery because of swelling and bruising. However,
this feeling will subside with time as you see a noticeable
difference in the shape of your body.
(6) It is sometimes recommended that you wear compression
stockings or compression garments for body-contouring for
3 months. Your body will look greater with time.
(7) Take the medication your doctor prescribed for 5-7 days
following procedure. |
 |
|
|
 |
(1) Bruising and swelling will disappear within
1-2 weeks.
(2) Any irregular skin surface will be resolved within 4 weeks
(3) There is one in a million chance of fat cells migrating
to the lungs and blocking blood vessels (pulmonary embolism)
which can cause death. However, when surgical guidelines are
followed and an adequate amount of fat is removed, there is
no such risk.
(4) There may be burning or unusual sensations in the operative
sites, but they are temporary and will go away.
(5) There may be infection in the operative sites, but if
medications are taken as prescribed, it will not cause problems. |
